Meet Me in The Middle

We just spent the past 2 years in isolation and fear with Covid 19 perhaps reeking just as much mental and emotional havoc as physical. We have rampant inflation, supply shortages, polarizing politics, rising crime, gun violence, war, aggression, global unrest and devastating climate change. We are literally coming apart at the seams. Is it the chicken or the egg? Are we causing the events? Or are the events causing our emotional distress?

A LATE NIGHT MUSE …

It’s late at night and the house is really quiet .. it’s in this space that my thoughts run through my head as I look to have some clarity, insight and revelations. Even better, is in the bath with the water as hot as I can stand it. I can go into a state of meditation and look into my soul. Try and understand yourself, look deep, ask why and don’t be afraid of what you find. There are demons in there and saints and we need to be able to see them both and not judge ourselves too harshly. When you can really know yourself, you will be liberated, free and knowing and it will give you power, confidence, strength, humility, empathy and compassion.

Carol's Corner FALL 2018

  We may have to take a look inward for that to happen on a more regular basis as we grow as an industry where appearance and number of followers seems to be the prerequisite for employment rather than education and experience.  Companies and businesses spend more on social media and advertising than educating and mentoring their employees.   Teaching them social and interpersonal skills needs to be as important as posts on instagram.
