Covid-19 Fashion Therapy

Ok I think it may be time that we can take a baby step forward. Spring fashion is upon us even if we are all just wearing sweat pants Eventually we may want to put something else on. So, let’s get ready for Spring! At the least, it will give us something to do.

First, we need to prepare our closet and do some good before moving forward.

Step One :  Clean out your Closet and Draws

Take a look at your inventory and make three piles  : Keep ,  Sell, Donate

If you haven’t worn the item for more than a year toss it into one of the sell, donate piles

If you have multiples of the same thing (more than 3), pick the three best and toss the rest into the appropriate pile

Try everything on you are thinking of keeping. Take pictures of yourself in the item to see if you “really” want it or not. If you have your doubts? Get rid of it, you won’t miss it

Repeat this process with your shoes, bags, accessories, socks, underwear; everything

Once you have your three piles, fold and put away the clothes by color code that you are keeping, for the rest you can use the following services:

Sell:

Tradesy.com

Poshmark.com

Ebay.com

 Donate:

Local thrift shop

Salvation Army

Local Church or Shelter

Threadup.com (they will sell what is sellable and you have an option to donate the rest. Threadup has a recycling program that is excellent. They will even send you a bag with a free address label to ship the items to them.

Ok! So now you have your pared down wardrobe and you are ready to add if necessary

Think about your lifestyle before you buy. Will you need work attire, basic everyday or active wear, do you attend parties, have some special events coming up?
